As part of the first beta of VisionOS 1.1, Apple added MDM (or mobile device management) support for Vision Pro. In an interview with TechCrunch, the company reiterated that it believes Vision Pro can play an important role in the business and enterprise world.
Steve Sinclair, Apple's global product marketing representative for Vision Pro, explained:
“As our first face-to-face computer, it really gave us a platform to build on. create new spatial experiences,” he told TechCrunch. “We really think that being able to bring information into your space while allowing you to stay connected to the people around you is really important. And that has applications, obviously from a consumer perspective, but also from a business perspective.”
After the launch of MDM support in VisionOS 1.1, Sinclair said:
“We're really focused on making sure we have the enterprise building blocks that companies expect for network support to make sure we manage and protect enterprise data with data protection , an opportunity to start with some basic blocking and type fighting capabilities.”
