In this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast, we dive into Aqara's new Google My Devices network. motion sensor, new smart coffee machine Fellow — Aiden, and look at other Qi2 devices.
After the release of the latest episode, Google officially launched the Find My Devices network. It's the Android equivalent of Apple's own Find My program.
Some devices, like the Pixel 8, can be found in offline mode, and devices can be put into lost mode if you can't find them.
We'll talk about cross-platform collaboration opportunities and talk about a feature we'd like to see implemented at Apple.
Aqara has also released a new motion and light sensor P2. This includes Matter over Thread support and can work without the Aqara hub, although you will unlock additional features if you have them.
The Aqara P2 has a two-year battery life, can detect motion up to seven meters away and covers 170 degrees horizontally.
Finally, Fellow has announced its first large-capacity coffee machine. The Aiden coffee maker is connected to your smartphone, allowing you to precisely control every step of the brewing and planning process.
