Senator Warren sends Tim Cook the letter

tariffs of President Trump “Liberation Day” were the American mountains for the economy. After it was not possible to get the desired results, and the markets dived, Trump retreated from his initial tariffs and doubled efforts against China, at the same time providing exceptions that unilaterally helped Apple.

it seems that these exceptions were provided at least partially, due to the fact that Apple General Tim Cook called President Trump and MDash; which was confirmed. This, along with donations, personal dinners and events, and much more led to the fact that Senator Warren wrote a letter received by Bloomberg.

Warren lists Cook's relations with Trump and offers to create an “appearance of illegality.” She asks Cook to answer with information about “your attempts to influence the officials of the Trump administration.”

Apple and Cook are not required to provide any information about these messages. The letter itself, by the same, is rather a formality than something, since Senator Warren and others who are charging corruption will have to open an official investigation to find it.

the letter does nothing on its own, except to bring light to the actions of Big Tech to win the favor of the Trump administration.

The letter does not apply to the fact that Cook and others play on the game established by the administration, but indicates relations with the tariffs and exceptions that were made in the first semester. Companies that are not trying to win a favor are punished more, as Warren points out, since small enterprises cannot conclude the same transactions as Mega-Corp.

The letter also does not mention that, despite the fact that Apple is currently released, the period of grace is temporary. President Trump says that semiconductor tariffs were on the way. Thus, soon Apple can be struck by the complete force of tariffs for China and its apple silicon chips.
