Since iOS 18 was released this month, there have been fewer noticeable bugs and crashes. For example, Messages has an issue where the app repeatedly crashes and can result in data loss, which we first learned about last week. Some iOS 18 and iPhone 16 users have also noticed issues with touchscreen responsiveness, as we reported last week. iOS 18.0.1 fixes both of those issues.

Apple also released iPadOS 18.0.1 with bug fixes. The update also means iPadOS 18 is now available for M4 iPad Pros after reports that the update caused some devices to crash.

While iOS 18.0.1 will focus on bug fixes and other improvements, Apple is also working on iOS 18.1. This update will contain the first Apple Intelligence features and a number of other changes. Apple has confirmed that iOS 18.1 will be released sometime in October.

Have you noticed any bugs in iOS 18 since its release last week? Are they fixed in today’s iOS 18.0.1 update? Let us know in the comments.
