Supergiant Games has released the sequel to its Underworld action game, Hades II, for macOS, now supporting Apple Silicon hardware.

Hades II is a sequel to Supergiant Games’ roguelike dungeon crawler Hades, available as an Early Access title on Steam. The game was originally released for Windows, but the developers have now made it available for macOS as well.

The game received a slew of updates and gameplay tweaks in Wednesday’s “Olympic Update.” One of the highlights is the addition of Mac support, with the game now running on an M1 chip or later.

The update means Mac gamers can now purchase the game and install it on their hardware directly from Steam. However, support only applies to Apple Silicon Macs, not older Intel models.

In addition to Apple Silicon, Mac requirements include 10GB of space, 8GB of memory, and macOS 12 or later. macOS 15 with 16GB of memory is recommended.

Hades II puts the player in the role of the Immortal Princess of the Underworld, exploring a mythical world based on the mythology of greed. The goal is to defeat Chronos, the god of time, who has taken her family captive, with the help of the other Olympian gods in their rescue attempt.

Hades II is available now in Early Access for $29.99.
