Less than two days after Apple's chief human resources officer was announced leaving the company, the company's top recruiting executive is also preparing to leave for an investment firm.
Apple’s top recruiting vice president Sjoerd Gehring is set to leave the iPhone maker for a role at investment firm Citadel, a report says. The expected departure is the second major talent-related departure at Apple in a week.
People familiar with the situation told Bloomberg that Gehring will leave Apple in November. He will replace Matt Jahansouz at Citadel, who left in September.
While Apple has not yet shared the news, Citadel Chief Operating Officer Gerald Beeson has reportedly told employees it will happen. “Sjoerd will lead our efforts to attract the best candidates from around the world and help them build outstanding careers at Citadel that match their merit and ambition,” Beeson said in the email.
Gehring is leaving Apple after more than six years in the role, having joined the company in November 2018. He previously handled recruiting at Johnson & Johnson, as well as Accenture.
The latest departure comes shortly after another high-profile executive's days were reportedly numbered.
Apple's chief human resources officer, Carol Surface, Gehring's boss, was reported to be leaving her job after less than two years on the job, it was reported Wednesday.
