Apple releases second beta of VisionOS 1.1

Apple today released the second beta version of the upcoming VisionOS 1.1 update to developers, allowing them to test new features before the software's public launch. The second beta version will be released a week after the release of the first.


The ‌ VisionOS‌ The beta version can be downloaded by going to the Settings app on your device and turning on developer betas. A registered developer account is required, and Apple recommends making a backup before installing new software.

‌visionOS‌ Version 1.1 added the ability to reset Vision Pro if you forget your password. This feature was also recently released to the public with ‌visionOS‌ 1.0.3 yesterday. Previously, resetting a forgotten password required you to bring Vision Pro to Apple.

The update brings support for iMessage contact key verification and adds Apple device management to Vision Pro. With this feature, business and education IT departments can control Vision Pro headsets the same way they control iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

According to Apple's beta test notes, users can now move 3D scenes closer than before, allowing for easier direct interaction with volumetric scene content. This means objects can be placed closer to you.

Apple has also improved personas in ‌visionOS‌, making them more natural and realistic than before.
