Logic Pro Updates

The plugin uses code and modeling algorithms created by Quantec founder Wolfgang Buchleitner, allowing more accurate modeling of acoustic spaces using the Quantec Yardstick.
Wednesday's Logic Pro update also lets you find and add plug-ins directly from the plug-in menu or with dedicated key commands. You can now search for plug-ins by name, category, or company.
Apple also released a new Modular Melodies sound pack for Logic Pro, which contains hundreds of loops created from patchable hardware synths, as well as an assortment of Alchemy synth patches.
Logic Pro has received a variety of improvements that provide additional usability.
- Drag and drop channel strips to organize your mixer layout.
- Send your mix straight to Voice Memos and preview on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
- Command-click any plug-in slot to quickly remove plug-ins.
- Quickly adjust input, output, sidechain source, or bus routing with menu search.
- Use key commands to move selections in all directions for faster editing.
Final Cut Pro 11 for Mac and updates for Final Cut Pro for iPad, Final Cut Camera
With Final Cut Pro 11, Apple introduced several highly requested features, some of which are powered by artificial intelligence and take advantage of the Apple Silicon hardware found in M-series Macs. Some of these improvements were previewed in October during the launch of the Mac mini with the M4 chip.
Final Cut Pro 11 introduces new AI-powered features.
The Magnetic Mask feature allows users to isolate people or objects from a video clip without using a green screen or rotoscoping, making it ideal for customizing backgrounds and environments.
Transcribe to Captions, another AI-powered feature, can automatically provide closed captions for videos. The feature uses Apple-trained AI models that are capable of transcribing spoken language.
Final Cut Pro 11 also introduces support for spatial video editing, allowing users to import spatial videos shot with the iPhone 15 Pro, any device in the iPhone 16 series, or the new Canon RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens paired with the Canon R7. Users will be able to add effects, color grade, and enhance their projects with titles.
With the latest version of Final Cut Pro, spatial video can now be edited on Apple Vision Pro using the Mac Virtual Display feature. Videos edited on the headset are stored in the user’s Photos app and can also be shared through the Vimeo app on visionOS.
Apple has also updated Final Cut Pro for iPad to version 2.1, which adds a host of useful improvements. The update adds support for Enhance Light and Color, which let you improve color, color balance, contrast, and brightness in a single step.
Magnetic Mask and Transcribe to Captions are new in Final Cut Pro 11.
Final Cut Pro for iPad gains four new drawing inks for the Live Drawing feature, which can be used to add animation to videos. Support for haptic feedback has also been introduced with the Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard, which now emit a pulse of light when users make changes to video files.
There’s also a new vertical pinch gesture that lets you increase or decrease the height of a clip in the timeline, as well as the ability to dynamically resize and reposition the viewport in Picture-in-Picture mode.
Final Cut Pro 11 for Mac is available for $299 and Logic Pro 11.11 is available for $199 in the macOS App Store. Final Cut Pro for iPad is available for $4.99 on iPadOS.
