(PRODUCT)RED raises hopes for a red iPhone 15

(PRODUCT)RED hinted that it could be a mid-cycle update for the iPhone 15

Evaluating rumors   🤔 Perhaps

Photos from (PRODUCT)RED on social networks are teasing us all about the bright red iPhone 15, but there are no details other than a cryptic reference to donuts.

The (PRODUCT)RED Twitter post shows a red iPhone being held over a set of donuts. This is definitely not the iPhone 15 Pro or any Pro model. This is definitely not the iPhone 15 Plus, but other than what can be determined visually, there is no information.

Of course, it could be (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 14. Although that would be mean.

“Eat an apple before the donut” is the only line in the Twitter post.

Although it's been about eight months since the iPhone 15 line was released, it's possible that this is the first word of a mid-cycle replacement, albeit an unusual report from a source. For the past few years, Apple has been releasing a different color version of its latest iPhone about six months after its initial launch.

In any case, the released model is exactly the same in terms of characteristics and price as the original model released in September. However, in each case, Apple introduces a new color, usually a particularly bright one, such as the yellow on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15.

The trend began with the iPhone 12 update in 2021. who suggested purple. In 2022, both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro received a green tint.

An iPhone 15 (PRODUCT)RED update would fit this pattern, especially since the color red was not present when the line initially launched in September 2023.

Apple has been working with the charity (RED) since 2006, when it released (PRODUCT)RED iPod nano. A portion of the sales of this device, and each of the many, many subsequent Apple (PRODUCT)RED products, was donated to support the Global Fund's fight to end AIDS.
