Apple Offers 1-Month Free Trial of MLS Season Pass

2024 MLS Season Pass

Apple is hoping to boost MLS Season Pass subscribers by alerting potential viewers to an offer of free access for a month.

On January 29, the Major League Soccer Season Pass returned to Apple TV, allowing users in more than 100 countries to watch the 2024 season. While many fans have already considered a subscription, Apple is trying to get even more.

In emails and push notifications sent to users on Saturday, 9to5Mac reports, soccer fans are informed about a one-month free trial of the MLS Season Pass.

The terms of the offer state that the offer is valid in the United States and is available to “qualified returning subscribers only.” The trial code expires on April 6, 2024, and after completing the month-long trial, their Apple ID will be charged $14.99 per month unless they cancel their subscription.

This offer is similar to the offer introduced in May 2023, but adds a qualified continuing subscribers element. The difference here is that it is provided at the beginning of the season.

A Season Pass provides access to every MLS game broadcast without any interruptions. It also includes in-depth coverage and analysis, exclusive content, League Cup games, the MLS All-Star Game and the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, as well as shows for Spanish-speaking fans.

In Season 2, Multiview for Apple TV 4K has been expanded to iPad, so users can watch up to four games simultaneously on the tablet. Apple also introduced support for Apple Vision Pro.

The regular MLS season pass price is $14.99 per month or $99 for the entire season, although Apple TV+ subscribers can get an annual pass discounted to $79.
