When will Apple release iOS 17.4? [U: Now available]

The latest version of Apple's iPhone software is almost ready. How long will it be before it becomes available to everyone? Here's the answer to the question: “When will iOS 17.4 be released?”

Update at 10:10 a.m. PT: iOS 17.4 is now available. Check your device and make sure it shows up in Settings > General > Software Update.

During the iOS 17.4 beta period, we saw Apple expanding new features and making changes . The beta version first arrived with preparations for support for third-party app stores in the EU, new emoji, improved protection against stolen devices, transcripts in Apple Podcasts, and more.

Then Apple introduced iMessage quantum security. , CarPlay instrument cluster update, iPhone battery status menu change, new “hello”” message screen and more are also included in iOS 17.4.

When will iOS 17.4 be released?

TL;DR – iOS Version 17.4 will be available to all users on March 5th or 6th at approximately 10:00 am PT /1:00 pm ET(unless Apple gets confused about what time of day it will be released)

  • The early March release is due to a deadline set by the EU digital markets, March 6.
  • Since Apple is currently in the fourth beta version of 17.4, it could release a version candidate the week of February 26, with an official launch occurring the week of March 4 (between 4-6 March).

Although this year is different due to the EU DMA mandate, here's the last four years of .4 releases for reference:

  • iOS 16.4 – March 27, 2023
  • iOS 15.4 –March 15, 2022
  • iOS 14.4 – January 26, 2021
  • iOS 13.4 – March 24, 2020
