President Trump continues to emphasize that Apple should make the iPhone in the United States, or a steep import tariff will be applied to the company.
Tim Cook previously managed to provide significant tariff exceptions to Trump, even if they were officially temporary. Now, after Trump said Cook to build an iPhone in the United States instead of India, Apple threatens what seems to be a completely new tariff.
Now Trump has declared truth on his social platform that there will be a fine if Apple does not transfer production to the States.
