Updated Sonos Roam 2 travel speaker

Sonos didn't just release its first set of headphones on Tuesday, as the company also doubled down its activity by releasing an update to the Roam portable speaker along with a new app update.

Sonos Roam 2 improves on its predecessor with improved Bluetooth controls, easier setup, Trueplay automatic playback and more.

They debut under the radar as the speaker maker's attention is focused on the new Sonos Ace headphones.

The Sonos Roam 2 is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance.

Users can stream audio via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and AirPlay while at home. It has a 10-hour battery life and IP67 dust and water resistance.

It is now available in five colors — Olive, Sunset, Wave, Black and White.

The Sonos app update

Since the launch of the updated app earlier this month, there has been a lot of criticism about missing features and broken accessibility features.

On Tuesday, Sonos is releasing a new update to address some of these issues.

You can now add and edit alarms for your Sonos system, and VoiceOver works correctly again. Screen reading improvements have also been added.

Sonos says new features are coming soon, including queuing tracks, sleep timers, snooze alarms and more.
