Solo Loop Annual Pride Edition for Apple Watch now available for sale

Apple Pride Collection 2024

In what has become an annual tradition for Apple, it has introduced a new braided Solo Loop Pride Edition for Apple Watch.

Apple annually releases bands and wallpapers for the Apple Watch Pride Edition as part of its efforts to promote LGBTQ+ equality. The initiative will also introduce some customizable elements in 2024.

The new Solo Loop Pride Edition features a vibrant fluorescent design inspired by several pride flags. The words “PRIDE 2024” are laser engraved on the ears.

The colors of the stripe include black and brown, which symbolize the black, Hispanic and Latino communities, as well as people affected by HIV/AIDS. The colors pink, blue and white represent transgender and non-binary people.

Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop will be available May 22 in the US and Canada and May 23 in other regions. Its price is $99.

The 41mm and 45mm sizes are compatible with Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 or later.

A new Prime Radiance watch face and wallpapers for iOS and iPadOS will be released along with the band. Composed of beams of light that glow against a dark background, they stack on top of each other to symbolize the “timeless impact of LGBTQ+ activism,” according to Apple.

This time around, users can choose from a range of colors to personalize their watch face and wallpaper.

The dial has colors to represent each number, and it responds in real time to gyroscopic movements. iPhone and iPad wallpapers say “Pride” and move dynamically as users unlock their devices.

The wallpaper and watch face will be released as part of watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5.

Apple uses Pride Collection to support LGBTQ+ rights organizations, including ILGA World, Human Rights Campaign, Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, GLSEN, Equality Federation, National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG, SMYAL and The Trevor Project.
