Now, iOS 19 is reportedly bringing better Siri, but Apple is also celebrating the best apps from developers, and we turn the Mac mini into a truly portable device on the AppleInsider podcast.
It's not true that the iPhone's fancy new animation is the only Siri update we'll see anytime soon, but it is. Despite Apple promising improvements with Apple Intelligence, a new report says that iOS 19.4 is coming in 2026 with a major Siri update.
We can celebrate when it happens, but there's actually something to raise a glass to right now, as Apple has announced its shortlist of apps of the year. They range from games to productivity, and they span the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Even before Apple announces its winners in December, it's worth taking a look at the list to see some great apps.
The Mac, iPhone, and iPad would be nothing without apps, but they're still the hardware we care about — and perhaps a little too obsessed with. After the last episode, host Wesley Hilliard went down the rabbit hole and built a working, functional, but not perfect portable Mac mini. It's not perfect yet, but he's working on it.
