Nintendo Music Launches on iPhone

Nintendo Music is a new iPhone app that lets Nintendo Online subscribers listen to a growing collection of music from games across the entire catalog.
It's easy to find video game music on streaming services like Apple Music or sites like YouTube, but Nintendo has a more official solution. So if you want to listen to video game soundtracks with a little more curation and control from Nintendo, there's now an app for that.
Nintendo Music launched Wednesday night as a surprise from the company. It's free to download from the App Store.

The service offers soundtracks from all generations of Nintendo consoles from franchises including Mario, Pokemon, Zelda, and many more. There are curated playlists based on characters, games, or themes, such as the beginning of an adventure.
While most of these soundtracks are available on Apple Music, there are key benefits to having them in a separate app and service. For one, you won’t have to worry about video game music clogging up your recommendations algorithm on Apple Music, for example.
There’s also a major feature that only Nintendo could think of: spoilers. Users can turn off spoilers for specific games, preventing titles, images, and music from ruining a game they haven’t played or finished yet.
Nintendo Music can be downloaded on iPhone and iPad via the App Store. An active Nintendo Online subscription is required to use the service.
