Customers have always been able to compare Macs, iPads, iPhones, and other Apple products using a simple feature comparison tool built into the Apple website. There is a new web page dedicated to potential update users, with a more user-friendly comparison process.
The new Reasons to Upgrade website was first discovered by 9to5Mac. It provides a simple tool to compare any iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 generation models with the current iPhone 15 models.
Because this is a more carefully curated web page, it is aimed at potential users looking to upgrade from two or three year old devices . The text updates on the page reflect differences in the specifications of the selected devices, but the representative images and videos showcasing the iPhone 15's features remain largely the same.
Even if you're upgrading from the iPhone 12 Pro to the iPhone 15, Apple explains why the new model is an upgrade thanks to things like Dynamic Island and a 48MP main camera. These comparison tools wouldn't be as easy if they included the iPhone 14 generation.
Apple released the iPhone 15 lineup in September 2023. We're already halfway through the release cycle, but that doesn't mean customers don't want to buy the iPhone 15, even if the iPhone 16 appears on the horizon.
