After the appearance of the as-yet unannounced Beats Pill speaker, details became known appeared in the regulatory database FCC, suggesting a launch is imminent.

For a speaker that Beats and Apple have discontinued in 2022 – — after seven years of sale — Beats Pill continues to return briefly in various special editions. It now seems clear that the speaker will be returning to the Beats lineup, and likely soon.

The latest evidence of this is a posting on the Federal Communications Commission's regulatory website. The database lists a great many reports typically generated during FCC testing, although Apple has requested confidentiality for other documents, including likely those containing diagrams or full technical descriptions.

The only diagram shown in the FCC's public database shows where the regulatory label will be located.

While a device has passed FCC testing, it does not mean that there are some specific deadlines before the launch of the product. However, it would be unusual for Apple to apply for testing if it did not intend to launch the product for some time.

In addition, the device itself has now been seen in use by celebrities, who were given a Beats Pill by Apple ahead of launch. These include Formula 1's LeBron James and Daniel Ricciardo.

The return of the Beats Pill is significant because the company currently only sells headphones and earbuds, not speakers.
