Apple has released new MacBook Air M3 laptops, and the new machines have some nice updates and the same ultra-thin, flat chassis design. What about the battery life of the M3 MacBook Air? Here's what to expect.
Apple has updated the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air with an M3 chip for “ ;even more features of the world's most popular laptop .”
M3 Macbook Air battery life
For 13-inch and 15-inch models MacBook Air M3 is rated for:
- Up to 18 hours of video playback (with Apple TV app)
- Up to 15 hours of wireless networking
Apple describes it as “an all-day battery.”
In terms of capacity, the 13-inch battery pack features a 52.6Whr lithium polymer battery. And the 15-inch case uses a 66.5 Wh lithium-polymer battery.
How does this compare to the MacBook Air M2 models? It is the same. Thanks to the Air's minimalist hardware design, you get slightly less battery life than the base 14-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro and 16-inch M3 Pro/Max MacBook Pro.
But what's impressive is the MacBook Air M3 (and M2) offer the same 18 hours of battery life as the mid-range and top-end M3 Pro/Max MacBook Pro, and 3 hours more for wireless Internet access.
The base 13-inch M3 MacBook Air Comes with 30W power adapter. Mid-range and high-end 13-inch and all 15-inch MacBook Air models come with a choice of dual 35W power adapters or a choice of 70W power supplies, allowing you to quickly charge your new laptop.
