Logitech G915 X Keyboard
3.5/5 Buy on Amazon
The G916X is a flashy yet effective A low-profile mechanical keyboard for performance and RGB enthusiasts.
Logitech is a big name in mice and keyboards when it comes to performance, and Logitech G is working to apply that expertise to gaming and leisure.
Sure, turning a “regular” keyboard into a “gaming” one means RGB, but in practice it’s more about connectivity and speed. The G915X does both well, creating a great typing experience for any user.
Logitech G915 X Keyboard – Design
The G915 is as thin as an iPhone, at about 0.90 inches, with a minimal footprint on your desk. It fits well in organizers and drawers for those who use their desks for multiple functions.
The keyboard comes in a variety of models, including full-size and TKL, in black or white. The switches are available in tactile, linear, and clicky options.
Our review model was the black TKL with tactile switches. The construction is mostly plastic, but with a metal surface on the front, I assume to reflect the RGB lights and show off the quality.
Logitech G915 X Keyboard Review: At 0.88 inches, it’s really thin.
Even though it doesn’t take up much space, it’s a well-balanced keyboard. There are buttons for adjusting the backlight and connection, multimedia control and a wide volume wheel, similar to the scroll wheel on a mouse.
As with most modern keyboards, you can install software to further customize them. G Hub is Logitech’s software for their gaming line, which provides an easy way to remap keys, customize RGB lighting, and more.
For example, you may have noticed that the G915X doesn’t have macOS keys. This is no longer an issue once you remap the Windows key to left alt and left alt to command. If this is a deal-breaker for you, you can look into Logitech’s standard row for more macOS-friendly keyboards.

Logitech G915 X Keyboard – Use
Right off the bat, the G915X feels great to use, with incredibly responsive keys and a nice rhythm.
As mentioned earlier, its thinness makes it super easy to put away to eat, read, or do other desk activities.
The RGB lighting is tasteful, with vibrant colors that don’t feel gaudy.
Logitech G915 X Keyboard Review: A Close-Up of the Keys and RGB Quality
Logitech G claims the G915X can last up to 1,000 hours on battery without using RGB, which may be within the realm of possibility. I used the keyboard with the minimum RGB settings for a few weeks, and it took almost a month for the “low battery” light to light up.
The keycaps are made of dual-layer PBT, and the design inside the board prevents too much of the excess echo noise that other keyboards of this size produce. However, the lack of layers in the case and reliance on plastic does result in a more clacky sound when typing.
The wireless connection is pretty reliable, as you would expect from any other reliable 2.4GHz Bluetooth keyboard. I also like that once you set up your preferred G Hub configuration, you can put it all on the board's memory, so you don't have to open another app every time you use your computer.

The Logitech G915 X Keyboard Is For Gaming, But Really For Everyone
This is a great keyboard for those who like a gaming or RGB aesthetic in their setup without committing to a huge mechanical keyboard. We wish the G915X included Mac keys, but that's easy to get around if you want to.
However, at $199-$229, the G915X's use of plastic in construction may be a turn-off for some users expecting higher-quality materials for a high-end keyboard.
Still, it has a nice design with some standout features that will make it a great choice for many people.
Logitech G915 X Keyboard Pros
- Long battery life
- Thin and customizable
- Customizable numeric
- Satisfactory keys
Logitech G915 X Keyboard Cons

- Reliance on plastic given the price
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
