A month after the iPhone 15 lineup arrived, we saw PerfectRec data showing ratings for owners of the 15 Pro below the iPhone. 13 Pro and 14 Pro. The latest report shows that customer satisfaction with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max continues to decline, while satisfaction with the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus has outperformed the high-end models.
PerfectRec's latest report consisted of nearly 700,000 user-generated Google reviews, and the new data likely exceeds that.
Using the same methodology, PerfectRec measured the percentage of iPhone 15/Pro users. reviews received 5/5 stars.
Interestingly, since September, when the first users purchased high-end smartphones, there has been a decline in sales of the two Pro models. And the more affordable iPhone 15 and 15 Plus showed an increase in customer satisfaction. Typically, pro models are rated higher than the base variants, but not this time.
After launching in September with 73.5%, 66.1% of iPhone 15 Pro reviews now give 5/5 stars. And for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, this figure increased from 77% to 72.5%.
On the contrary, for the iPhone 15 this figure increased from 68.2% to 78.1%, and for the iPhone 15 Plus it jumped from 70% to 73.5% for 5/5. star ratings.

I have 15 Pro and I think the battery life is excellent. I only ran out of charge early once, when I was in Vienna and out from early morning until late at night.

iPhone 15 devices experienced an overheating issue for several weeks after launch, which was fixed in iOS 17.0.3 update. This has certainly caused some disappointment among early buyers, and was reflected in the “15% of all negative reviews” in October.
But PerfectRec reports that over the past 30 days, the top three complaints about the iPhone 15 Pro were Was:
- Poor battery life.
- Incremental upgrades from iPhone 14 Pro.
- Disappointment with physical design and protruding camera lenses.
