In this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast, Sonos Launches a Couple of New Smart Products, New Affordable Home Key Lock Arriving , and Ecobee CEO Greg Fike joins us to talk about the future of home automation.
In the news this week we saw the launch of the Aqara U50 smart lock. This is a more affordable version of the U100 and lacks a fingerprint scanner.
It connects via Zigbee or Bluetooth and works with Matter when connected to a hub. There is a built-in keyboard that supports the Apple home key.
Sonos also shared news. We tried the new Sonos Ace headphones, which can switch audio from their soundbars.
It wasn't the only product, however, as it quietly released the new Roam 2. It didn't get a ton of updates, but AirPlay support still exists.
