Apple Intelligence can call Chatgpt, so you can use Siri to get answers to AI from the Openai service. That's how.
We previously illuminated how to use the CHATGPT extension in the Apple Notes application. This article describes how to install, configure and enable Apple Intelligence and Chatgpt – and how to use them together in the NOTES application.
If you also turned on Siri and the ChatGPT extension in the Apple intelligent system settings, now you can use Siri itself to offer ChatGPT for answers. There is also an additional function in which you can introduce tips directly into Siri and use it Catgpt for answers.
The start of the work
, before you can use CHATGPT in Apple applications, you must first enable Apple intelligence, Siri and expansion ChatGPT in the System Pretings application (or in the settings application in iOS).
If you have not installed Apple Intelligence on your Mac or iOS device, read the “Apple intelligence” section in the previous article so that everything is installed and configured. You will need MacOS Sequoia 15.2 or later, or iOS 18.2 or later. Apple Intelligence requires Apple Silicon Mac, iPhone 15 Pro or later.
On the Mac you do this by opening the settings of the system in the /application folder on your startup (or in the Apple menu), then scrolling down and click on Apple Intelligence & amp; Siri on the left.
The initial setting can take some time.
After installation and the Apple Intelligence, you need to turn on Siri and some other settings (also mentioned in the previous article). These settings are also in the settings-& gt systems; Apple Intelligence & amp; Siri Panel under the panel “Siri requests”.

This function is now turning into Apple intelligence settings.
When you introduce a hint in Siri, he will try to use Apple Intelligence first to give an answer. If this is not possible, he will ask if you want to try ChatGPT with the message: “Do you want me to use ChatGPT to answer this?” – Along with two buttons: Search on the Internet or Use Chatgpt .
If you choose the last, Siri will cease the hint in Chatgpt. In any case, if you have not chosen the option on the Internet , the answer will be provided in a small pop -up window directly under the type of Siri text field.
As Apple mentions in the MAC user manual, you can also click on the Siri icon in the MacOS menu line to enter the hint, or you can ask Siri orally and turn on the phrase “Ask Chatgpt” to say siri to send a prompt.
The answers from the type on Siri are really slightly slower than Chatgpt directly, but it is expected. Remember that you are passing two layers here, and not one – and the Apple ecosystem should interact with Openai via the Internet.
