Space Black has become the new hot color for Apple lately, appearing on products like the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro. However, Apple never released Space Black for the new Mac mini and only settled on silver. Luckily, one Apple enthusiast decided to paint his Mac mini black, and it looks pretty good…
Apple enthusiast and collector L0vetodream has posted some photos (and videos) of his hydro-dipping process, which transforms a silver M4 Mac mini into a color similar to Space Black. The process required him to strip the entire machine down to the bare aluminum chassis and then submerge the case in water. After a couple of hours, the coating started to show through and the end result is incredible.
He also created a Space Black Mac Studio, which also looks great. He also mentioned that for $100 he will blacken any Mac Studio, which seems like a pretty reasonable price.
