Feels luxurious with Hermes Apple Watch Series 10 in silver titanium case

Hermes Apple Watch Series 10

The most expensive Apple wearable is the Hermes Apple Watch Series 10 version in a silver-titanium case. Here's what sets it apart.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that the Ultra 2 is the most expensive Apple Watch yet. Not much attention has been paid to Apple's high-fashion partnership with French fashion brand Hermes.

It's a partnership that's been going on for years. In 2024, a special Hermes edition of the latest Apple Watch was released again, paired with a variety of Hermes bands.

There are two versions of the Hermes watch available to users: the Series 10 or the Ultra 2. We're looking at the former.

Unboxing the Hermes Apple Watch Series 10

Unlike the traditional Apple Watch, the Hermes version comes in a branded box painted in the brand's signature orange color with black edges. The box is larger than the regular Apple Watch box, and has two smaller boxes that slide out of it.

One of the two boxes is for the Apple Watch, and the other is for the band that comes with it. In our case, it was the Torsade Single Tour band.

The unboxing experience is improved for the Hermes version

The band comes in a soft paper sleeve that separates both sides of the band. It's more elegant than the cardboard packaging of regular bands.

The top of the watch box has a silhouette of the device. When you open it, it looks very similar to a standard Apple Watch.

The watch is on the left, wrapped in a cardboard sleeve. On the right is the instruction manual, second band, and charger.

Hermes Torsade single tour strap

This Torsade band is one of the new bands that Hermes introduced with the Series 10. It costs $349 when sold separately through Hermes.

Another band we weren’t able to try due to availability is the Grand H. This stainless steel band features Apple’s easy-to-remove links combined with Hermes styling.

The Torsade Apple Watch band has a woven look and is very comfortable.

Our Torsade band was in Rouge Grenat — or deep red — but it’s available in navy blue. It’s technically a 46mm band, but it will also fit any of the larger previous-generation models.

The band is made from 3D-knitted nylon to create the look of a larger woven material. It's a really cool effect that you can see and feel.

Even though it's nylon, we found it to be much more comfortable than previous Hermes nylon straps. It feels more like cotton and is quite flexible.

A small Hermes label is sewn onto the underside of the strap.

Other nice touches include the Hermes logo on the buckle and a hand-sewn tag at the bottom.

As an added bonus, you also get a second Apple Sport Band in Hermes orange. The band itself has a small Heremes logo on the underside of the metal pin.

Even the bonus Sport Band comes in Hermes orange and has the Hermes logo underneath it.

That's probably for the best, since you wouldn't want to workout in a $350 Torsade band or anything else that's energetic.

Hermes Subtle Touches

The big question is, what other touches do you get with the Hermes version of the Apple Watch, other than the band? Not many, really, which is probably a good thing.

Apple isn’t hiding the features of the watch behind that high paywall, but rather, there are little touches. Unboxing, exclusive watch faces, and included bands, among other things.

The watch comes in a silver titanium finish, which is an exclusive finish. If you decide to buy the regular titanium Apple Watch Series 10, it only comes in genuine titanium, gold, and slate.

If you want bright, clear silver, you’ll want to go with Hermes. The good news is that when we compared the natural color to the silver, they weren’t too far off.

Natural titanium (left) is almost indistinguishable from silver (right)

The difference between natural and silver was very slight, with the former being slightly darker. Looking at them separately, you can't tell which is which.

Only up close can you really tell the difference between the real thing and the silver one.

Another difference is that the bottom of the Apple Watch has the Hermes logo imprinted around the touch sensor. This helps you know for sure that it is a Hermes model.

Even the setup has been customized for Hermes

Once turned on, the setup screen is Hermes orange compared to white. Otherwise, it is the same as the titanium Apple Watch Series 10, right down to the sapphire crystal.

Exclusive Faces for the Hermes Apple Watch

One of the most tangible benefits of Heremes is that you get access to five exclusive faces. These are Hermes, Circuit H, Circulaire, Lucky Horse and Radial.

Each one has a variety of customization options to choose from. They also come with the Hermes logo and signature orange color, though this can usually be changed.

Basic Hermes Watch Face

The basic Hermes watch face has a variety of fonts to choose from, and you can change the number of numerals around the face. It has one complication in the center, which is a calendar by default.

Circuit H Apple Watch Face

The Circuit H is a full-screen watch face, though you can make it inset into a circle if you prefer to add complications to the corners. You can leave the watch vertical or tilted.

Hermes Radial Watch Face

The Radial is a simple watch face with a white background and the Hermes logo at the top. You can fit four complication options – one in each corner.

Lucky Horse Hermes Watch Face

The Lucky Horse is a simple choice, as you don't have much of a choice other than the colorful animal, which fades to an outline when not in use. There are two spots for complications in the top two corners.

To sum it up, you get two bands, the Hermes logo, a premium box, and five watch faces for an extra $550 over the standard titanium Apple Watch Series 10.
