epomaker split65 keyboard
in many” Mac-quedard-quads -lepmaker. It has a divided design that is supposedly more ergonomic, but not everyone can actually print with it.
I am a keyboard lover, and I have more than enough of them lying in my office and MDash; Perhaps too much. But when Epomaker offered Split65 for review, I could not say “no”, if only because he is so different.
Of course, this is a mechanical keyboard, like the rest, but one look tells a story at it. This is a keyboard that is broken in the middle for added customs ergonomics.
But there is something more, including an extremely useful handle to control the volume. Nice to dial, and I like to use it.
, unfortunately, as the name probably surrendered, there is a problem. And for me this problem arises when I use the main function of Split65.
, fortunately, this is the keyboard that I like due to its customizability. Yes, this keyboard breaks down, but it also returns together & mdash; And this changes all for me.
Epomaker Split65. 65% of the keyboard, and I received a version of the ANSI layout for review. It can be connected to Mac or PC via Bluetooth, Dongle 2.4 GHz or the wire connection of USB-C & MDash; I used the latter.
Epomaker Split65 Review: You can close the keyboard if you prefer, fortunately.
Together with the keyboard, buyers will also receive the key, USB-C for cable and user guide. You will also receive a keycap puller so that you can change the lids if you decide later.
Epomaker also includes several spare switches in case you break them when exchanging vacancies. Finally, there is a cable for connecting two halves of the keyboard together.
Epomaker Split65. Big, but it has everything that most people need. If you used some other 65% keyboard, this one will be familiar.
In the Upper Law of Split65 there is a handle for a carrier that controls the volume, which allows you to quickly adjust. It is relatively smooth to use and is good for media applications.
The model that I received was supplied with double shots of a PBT-clavish with a cherry profile. As expected, there is a backlight with the southern lighting of RGB in key lighting.
Other remarkable functions include mechanical switches 3/5, the design of the plastic plate, as well as the upper ABS housing and the iron bottom. Rollover N-Key support is present to help avoid ghosts in printing.
Epomaker Split65 Keyboard: a comfortable volume handle is an excellent feature.
The switches are the internal proposal of Epomaker, with the proposed linear and flamingos. I received the last one, which is equipped with a 60th double force at 3.8 mm.
around the back of the keyboard you will find a switch for power and connection mode, as well as a USB-C port. You will also find an additional USB-C port on each half of the keyboard, which you need to use with the cable and MDash; Otherwise, half will not work.
Of course, the main feature here is a divided design. This is slightly reduced in the middle of the keyboard, and you can position two halves as you like.
You do not need to separate the keyboard, which is good news for some of us. The joint connection of the two halves satisfies thanks to built -in magnets that keep everything together.
do this, and you have a normal 65% keyboard with a pen, and this is not bad at all.
EPOMAK differs. It supports QMK/Via for programming and setting, offering many options.
The keyboard can be configured by programming and mapping keys, setting up macros and much more. You can easily configure the keyboard lighting all with the web interface & mdash; This is incredibly easy to use.
This is a hot switched keyboard, you can, of course, add your own switches and keys.
Epomaker Split65 Review: not many keyboards have several USB-C ports.
The change that breaks my brain, but I, no doubt, taught it if I gave it for a long time. Unfortunately, as someone, who earned a living, I could not afford such a luxury.
However, if you are a fan of Ergo keyboard, you will get just fine. And I would argue, you will like the experience of typing.
I found that the keys felt solid and deadly & mdash; Technical term & mdash; In use, if a little loud, and the reviews were enough. Touch Typing was not a problem (when I was closed) for me, and I do not feel that I printed more slowly or lost some kind of accuracy.
For my testing, the volume handle was a show star. So much so that now I miss it when using other keyboards. I also appreciated the ease of configuration thanks to the support of QMK/via support.
On a negative note, the keyboard is supplied with support for Mac and PC, but without Mac layouts. This means that you need to know what keys do what they do not look at them.
This is a relatively insignificant thing, but I think that any keyboard with double support should have keyboards for both. They cannot cost so expensive to throw in a box, right?
EPOMAKER SPLIT65 KEYboard Review: An ErgoBoard is better when it is not
As I already mentioned, I use a lot of keyboards. But Epomaker Split65 is the only one that has a divided design. And this was probably a problem during my testing.
I strongly expect that people who use a fixed ergonomic keyboard will really like Split65. The flexibility that he offers makes it an excellent option, with many functions.
These functions make Split65 a keyboard, which I often continue to use after writing this review. I could even try to use it again in this divided configuration.
from the Media handle to simple tuning, I think that Split65 can offer. It helps that this is also a look, in a restrained form.
for $ 120, this is not the most expensive keyboard that I have ever tested. And this can be a profitable deal if it also helps not to harm the wrists.
