Alleged M4 Pro chipset results appear on Geekbench, and it easily beats the Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra in single-core and multi-core results.
The M4 Pro is an option for the new Mac mini and MacBook Pro. Although these products will not be released to the public until November 8, early testers are already running tests.
According to the Mac16,7's Geekbench result, the M4 Pro is a powerful chipset that can beat the M2 Ultra found in the Mac Pro. It got a single-core score of 3925 and a multi-core score of 22,669.
By comparison, the Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra has a single-core score of 2868 and a multi-core score of 22,065. This is a configuration with a 24-core processor and 192GB of RAM.
The Mac16,7 could be one of the new MacBook Pro models. It shows that it has the M4 Pro, with a 4.51GHz, 14-core processor and 48GB of RAM.
If these estimates are accurate, the M4 Pro will prove to be a formidable chipset, not to mention the M4 Max or the inevitable M4 Ultra. The review embargo will likely be lifted early next week ahead of the November 8 launch, so Geekbench results can be checked then.
