APPLE

Apple's “Let Loose” event was filmed on an iPhone and edited on a Mac… and an iPad.

Apple held a special “Let Loose” event on Tuesday, where the company unveiled the new iPad M2 Air and iPad Pro M4. . Interestingly, following the event, Apple confirmed that it was recorded entirely on an iPhone (potentially an iPhone 15 Pro). But what's most intriguing is that the company also says it's “edited on Mac… and iPad.”

Apple event was shot on iPhone, but now with a surprise

This is the second event Apple shot entirely on iPhone. The company conducted its first experiment last year at an event in October, which was also shot on the iPhone 15 Pro to promote new shooting capabilities such as ProRes Log and the 5x lens.

Not surprisingly. that the company used Mac computers to edit their event, but this time part of the event was edited on the iPad.

It's no secret that Apple has a version of Final Cut Pro available for iPadOS. At today's event, the company announced Final Cut Pro 2 for iPad, which includes a redesigned interface as well as new features such as real-time editing from multiple cameras and a new app for using the iPhone as a live camera.

During the event, Apple announced that Final Cut Pro for iPadOS allows creators to fully edit their projects directly from the iPad. However, it is somewhat ironic that Apple itself had to use “Mac… and iPad” to create such a complex publication.

I think it will be several more years before we see an Apple event that will be “Shot on iPhone and mounted on an iPad.” You can re-watch the event below:
