Apple today announced that it has renewed the award-winning sci-fi series Silo for a third and fourth season, allowing it to tell the “complete story.” The series is based on the best-selling book series by Hugh Howey.
Apple has confirmed that season four will be the show's final season.
“With the final two chapters of Shaft, we're looking forward to giving fans of the show an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these mines,” said showrunner and executive producer Graham Yost.
Shaft is currently midway through its second season on Apple TV+, with new episodes dropping every Friday until January 17.
The series follows the last 10,000 people on Earth, all of whom live in a massive underground bunker, to escape the seemingly toxic and deadly world outside. People don't know why the mine was built, and those who seek the truth face deadly consequences. Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliet Nichols, an engineer who tries to unravel the mysteries surrounding the mine after the murder of her loved one.
Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year in the US, and the streaming service is also included in all Apple One subscription packages.
