Apple releases Safari Technology Preview 188 with bug fixes and performance improvements

Apple today released a new update to Safari Technology Preview, the experimental browser that Apple first introduced in March 2016. Apple has developed ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ to test features that may be introduced in future versions of Safari.


‌Safari Preview technology review‌ 188 includes fixes and updates for Accessibility, Animation, Browser Changes, CSS, Forms, Loading, Lock Mode, Media, Rendering, Scrolling, Storage, SVG, Web API, Web Extensions, WebAuthn, WebGL, and WebRTC.

Current ‌Safari Technology Review‌ version is compatible with computers running macOS Ventura and macOS Sonoma, the latest version of macOS released by Apple in September 2023.

‌Safari Technology Preview‌ The update is available through the software update mechanism in System Preferences or System Preferences to anyone who has downloaded the browser. Full release notes for the update are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.

Apple's goal with ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ The company's goal is to collect feedback from developers and users about the browser development process. ‌Safari Technology Review‌ can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser and, although it is designed for developers, does not require a developer account to download.
