by Julie Clover

Apple will launch its next Apple Watch activity contest on Saturday, April 22, in honor of Earth Day.

To complete the challenge, Apple Watch owners will need to complete a workout of 30 minutes or longer, with the activity recorded through the Workout app or an app that adds information to the Health app.

Let's take a step towards the planet. On April 22, complete any workout of 30 minutes or more to earn this reward. Record it using the Workout app or any app that adds Health data.

Apple Watch owners who earn the award will unlock a special badge in the Fitness app and also receive a streak animated stickers. which can be used in the Messages and FaceTime apps.

After Apple's Earth Day Challenge will also launch another competition dedicated to International Dance Day, which will take place on April 29. The Dance Day reward can be earned by completing a dance workout of 20 minutes or longer and unlocking a badge and animated stickers.

The April Earth Day competition and the Dance Day competition follow the February competition Heart Month, and for the curious, it looks like Apple has reduced the number of challenges it offers in 2024.
