Repair Parts The iPhone 16 lineup is now available to order in the US and other countries, including for those who want to fix their iPhone themselves.

Following the release of repair guides for the iPhone 16 in September, you can now purchase replacement parts for repairs directly from Apple, continuing a move that began in 2022 to make products more repairable for users.

Batteries, one of the most common replacement parts, sell for $99 for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, or $119 for the iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max. Likewise, replacement camera assemblies cost $169 or $249, depending on the model.

Displays range from $279 to $379, and can be found and ordered at an Apple self-service store.

Users can also replace the rear camera, rear glass, top and bottom speakers, TrueDepth camera for Face ID, and other parts. Repair kits, which include machines to disassemble the devices, can be rented for $49 for seven days.

Apple has said it will offer better support for some third-party replacement batteries and displays in the future, as noted by MacRumors. Used genuine Apple parts will also be supported for DIY repairs.

While DIY iPhone repairs with Apple kits can save money on some repairs, the company notes that DIY repairs are best for “people who have experience with complex electronic device repair issues.” Guides outline proper safety precautions when handling potentially dangerous parts like batteries.
