Apple's App Store and Mac App Store experienced issues Wednesday, preventing users from downloading apps and causing other problems with the digital sales platform.

Several Mac and iPhone users have found that they are unable to download apps from the App Store and Mac App Store. Members of AppleInsider’s editorial team were able to confirm that the issue exists, but for some writers, it was intermittent.

It’s unclear how many people have been affected by the outages, but some have reached out to X to report their inability to install apps. It doesn’t appear to be preventing users from browsing the App Store, only downloading new apps.

While it’s unclear if Apple is aware of the issue, a check of the system status page, as well as the developer system status page, shows that Apple has addressed a variety of related issues.

The system status page lists two ongoing outages affecting subscription purchasing and the Volume Buying Program, both of which are listed as having started since 11 a.m. ET.

The developer preview has a long list of outages that have been fixed as of late Tuesday evening. The list includes App Store Connect, as well as TestFlight, the App Store Connect API, app handling, App Store server notifications, and analytics.

Also, outages in Apple Podcasts Connect and Apple Music for Artists were resolved overnight.

The status pages also mention a resolved issue with Xcode Cloud as of Tuesday evening. Issues with Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple School Manager have also been resolved.

AppleInsider will continue to monitor the situation for further changes.
