CEOs of major tech companies, including Tim Cook, took to social media to congratulate President Trump and reaffirm their commitment to promoting growth, innovation, and job creation in the United States.

The cycle of praise, personal attention, and financial contributions continues on Inauguration Day as Silicon Valley’s biggest names congratulate Elon Musk on his social media platform. Apple CEO Tim Cook is no exception, posting on X after making an in-person appearance at the ceremony.

Cook’s post is nearly identical to the one he made after President Trump’s victory in November, and it echoes those of other CEOs like Google’s Sundar Pichai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella. The CEOs of major tech companies are sharing their enthusiasm for innovation and American ingenuity.

Apple itself has been largely absent from direct interactions with President Trump in his first term. President Trump famously visited a Mac Pro assembly plant and was gifted a Mac Pro in 2019.

Tim Cook has taken a more personal approach so far, attending in-person meetings and dinners, and even donating $1 million of his own money to the inauguration fund. Apple has not contributed to it, but Cook has apparently promised major investments in the United States.

While President Trump has attributed these investments to his reelection, they are more directly related to the CHIPS Act signed into law by President Biden in 2022. Apple is increasing its chip production in the U.S., thanks to factories built in Arizona by TSMC.

Every presidency requires a strategy, and Tim Cook knows this. It remains to be seen how President Trump's second term will play out.
