Apple has released the first public beta of a number of upcoming software updates, including macOS Sequoia 15.3, iPadOS 18.3, tvOS 18.3, and more. Here's what's new.
How to install the new public betas
You can download and install the new public betas as a member of the Apple Beta Software Program.
If you've previously used public beta software, your device must still be enrolled.
Once enrolled, you can download new updates directly from the Software Update screen in your device's Settings app.
What's new in the macOS 15.3 public beta and more
Apple has shipped an unusually large number of new features in the last few software updates. Perhaps unsurprisingly, these latest betas have seen minimal changes so far.
One of the biggest new features is that Genmoji is coming to the Mac.
iPhone and iPad users have already had access to Genmoji since the debut of iOS and iPadOS 18.2, but the feature was previously missing from macOS.
Now, with the first beta of macOS 15.3, Mac users can also access this Apple Intelligence feature.
In addition to Genmoji, Apple is paving the way for robot vacuum support in the Home app, which affects all HomeKit-controlled Apple devices like iPads, Macs, Apple TV 4K, and more.
And that's it for the latest betas.
Hopefully, we'll see more new features in Beta 2 and beyond, but Apple has understandably held back on this pre-holiday release.
