Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.2 and Apple Vision Pro — Gadget of the Year According to AppleInsider Podcast

Apple Intelligence and the New Siri Animation on iPhone

With this week's OS updates, Apple Intelligence is indeed here, and there's more to come. Plus, is Apple in trouble again or still in trouble for what it did and didn't do, all on the AppleInsider podcast.

Of course, there's more Apple Intelligence to come, and in particular the long-awaited series of Siri improvements. But now that iOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2 have arrived, not to mention iPadOS 18.2, it seems Apple Intelligence has actually arrived. And the first thing it's done is shut down OpenAI ChatGPT's servers due to demand.

So it appears that many iPhone, Mac, and iPad users are at least trying out Apple Intelligence. The question now is whether they find it useful or whether it just has the short-term appeal of a new toy.

But at least you can listen to three new Apple Music radio stations while you try to get Image Playground to create an accurate, okay, sensible, okay, recognizable avatar of yourself. And while you read about new lawsuits that are trying to force Apple to bring back its abandoned CSAM plans or do something else about deepfakes.

This time, William wants to confess that after 10 hours of working on a Mac, he sometimes just relaxes by doing something else on the same screen. It’s about how Apple is infiltrating — and perhaps in a good way — taking over our hobbies, as well as our work.
