Apple to bring 'Mythic Quest' back to Apple TV+ for a fourth season next year, with a 'Side Quest' spinoff series set to debut immediately after its conclusion.

Coming three years after Apple renewed the show, “Mythic Quest” is finally approaching its fourth season. It’s also set to bring with it a spinoff, renamed “Side Quest” from the original title “Mere Mortals.”

The main show, “Mythic Quest,” will begin airing on January 29 with two new episodes, Variety reports. There will be one new episode each week until it ends on March 26.

“Side Quest” will debut on March 26, coinciding with the conclusion.

Star Rob McElhenney gave the initial hint in September that a fourth season was on the way. A post on X responded to a fan’s request with a photo of the co-stars in front of the show’s logo.

The “Side Quest” spinoff will focus on the same characters on the show, but will be more in line with episodes like “Dark Quiet Death” or “Backstory!” This will allow the series to tell other stories outside of the main show's plot.

“Side Quest” is written by Ashly Burch, John Howell Harris, and Kate McElhenney. The spinoff will feature the cast of “Mythic Quest,” including star McElhenney.
