Apple Announces Three New Macs, Ships Apple Intelligence, and released its quarterly earnings report. There's a lot to consider in this episode of the AppleInsider podcast, including the future of the iMac.
The iMac was the first of Apple's abbreviated announcement week, and it could be the best Mac yet thanks to its combination of price, features, and gorgeous display. However, it's still just one device, so if that screen fails, your entire Mac fails.
While the Mac mini connects to almost any display, with any keyboard, mouse, or trackpad, its new smaller size is obviously a boon, but it also raises the possibility that the battery-powered Mac mini will be the best portable Mac ever.
And then there was the new MacBook Pro, which is great. Considering it’s easily one of Apple’s best-selling devices, and considering the upgrade to the M4 is especially welcome, it’s odd how lifeless it felt for announcements.
Luckily, there were also announcements from Nintendo, Apple’s latest earnings report, and Apple Intelligence is finally starting to roll out.
