Apple corrected the specifications of the 24-inch M4 iMac, ending support for 8K120 on Tuesday morning.
When Apple released its new 24-inch iMac with the M4, it offered its usual set of specs, including details on external display support. A day later, Apple updated the specs to fix the error.
The initial specs on Apple's website said the two-port model could drive one external 6K display at 60Hz. The four-port variant was said to be able to drive two 6K 60Hz displays or one 8K display at 120Hz.
Updated display support specs for the M4 iMac on Apple's website
On Tuesday, the display support specs were updated, lowering the refresh rate of the four-port model's 8K display spec to 60Hz.
For now, that appears to be the only spec in the entire list that has changed.
The release is part of a week of Mac-related announcements from Apple. With the iMac refreshed on Monday, the Mac mini and MacBook Pro lines are expected to be refreshed later this week.
