Apple's seventh developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.1, which arrived a day after other operating systems, is finally available for testing.

On Monday, Apple released a new batch of developer betas for testers to try out, including iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 with Apple Intelligence. While macOS was the only one missing from the group, it arrived a day late.

The seventh macOS Sequoia 15.1 developer beta follows the sixth, which was released on October 7.

The main benefit of macOS Sequoia 15.1 is Apple Intelligence, the Cupertino tech giant's attempt to bring generative AI features to its operating systems. The first wave, expected in the initial release of macOS, includes items like writing tools, Clean Up for Photos, and a number of Siri improvements.

The final release of version 15.1 is expected to arrive within a few weeks, possibly by October 28.

AppleInsider and Apple strongly discourage users from installing test operating systems or other beta or RC software on “mission-critical” or primary hardware due to the remote possibility of issues that could result in data loss. Testers should therefore use secondary or non-primary devices and ensure they have adequate backups of any mission-critical data.
