Gurman: New Mac M4 and iPad mini 7 computers will go on sale on November 1

In this edition of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed the potential release date for Apple's anticipated hardware releases, which will take place in late fall. The keynote will still take place in late October, but the products will probably launch on November 1.

The products launching will include a budget 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4, higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro and M4 Max, a new iMac with M4, a new updated Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro, and a new iPad mini.

Interestingly, Gurman no longer mentions a budget iPad, so it appears an iPad 11 refresh in 2024 is no longer on the table. This makes sense given that other analysts have indicated that this product won't ship until early next year.

Gurman also says to expect the following products in the first half of 2025:

  • 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air M4
  • New iPhone SE
  • New 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air
  • New Magic Keyboards for iPad Air
  • Updated AirTag

The analyst also says that a new Mac Studio and Mac Pro are in the works alongside the M4, but they will ship later. The Mac Studio will likely ship mid-year, while the Mac Pro will likely ship late in the year.

This is in line with previous expectations. And of course, the cycle will start again with the iPhone 17 and M5 Mac in the fall.
