Apple hands over the first beta version of watchOS 10.5 to developers

Apple today released the first beta version of the upcoming watchOS 10.5 update to developers for testing purposes. The beta version will be released one month after the release of watchOS 10.4.


To install the watchOS 10.5 update, developers need to open the Apple Watch app, go to Software Update in the General section of Settings, and turn on the watchOS 10 developer beta. An Apple ID associated with a developer account is required.

Once activated, watchOS 10.5 beta updates will be available for download in the same Software Update section. To install the software, Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery charge and be placed on the Apple Watch Charger.

We don't know what's included in watchOS 10.5 yet, but if anything new is discovered, we'll Let's update this article.
