Quick Student Challenge

Apple notified 350 Swift Student Challenge winners of their victory and rewards, including AirPods Max, a certificate and Free one-year developer membership.

Every year, Apple hosts the Swift Student Challenge to encourage student developers to practice their craft and win prizes. Participants must be over 13 years of age, work in an academic institution or homeschool equivalent, and not work as a full-time developer.

Winners will be notified via email, and Apple's Senior Director of Worldwide Developer Marketing Esther Hare shared the news on Twitter. Members can also check their status by logging into their developer account.

Among the 350 winners, there were 50 honorary winners for the first time. Apple hasn't said how these winners differ or what they receive for the top award.

Apple previously provided AirPods Pro as a prize, but this year the winners received AirPods Max. The announcement states that winners will receive an official Apple certificate, one year of free membership in the developer program, the opportunity to take the Swift certification exam, and the opportunity to attend WWDC in person.

WWDC will be held from June 10 to 14. Apple announces iOS 18, its new artificial intelligence initiatives, and possible Mac hardware upgrades like the M3 Ultra.
