To celebrate the in-game event of the popular Apple Arcade game Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Apple is teaming up with Sanrio to bring Hello Kitty herself to Apple Union Square in San Francisco, California.

Hello Kitty will be in the San Francisco store on Wednesday, March 20th from 4:00 pm PT. until 18:00. This is Game Developers Conference week, so GDC attendees visiting the city will be able to attend to meet Hello Kitty.

Apple says Hello Kitty will spread a message of happiness, friendship and inclusivity that fits the theme in-game event Hello Kitty Island Adventure. The virtual event, which will take place from March 18 to 25, is dedicated to the International Day of Happiness. Players will be tasked with spreading joy through a surprise recipe and surprise gifts.

Chelsea Howe, chief product officer at Sunblink (developer of Hello Kitty Island Adventure), and Jill Koch, senior vice president of marketing at Sanrio, also will accompany Hello Kitty to Apple Union Square. They'll talk about the inspiration behind the game.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is included with the Apple Arcade gaming subscription for $6.99 per month. Everyone in the family group can play ‌Apple Arcade‌ games for a single subscription price. Hello Kitty Island Adventure is regularly updated with new in-game content and events.
