Apple TV+ has a new nature documentary

The long-awaited nature documentary “Sounds of the Earth” with narration Tom Hiddleston will premiere very soon on Apple TV+.
Sounds of the Earth is a twelve-part series that Apple ordered in 2020. It's a project from Offspring Films, which also produced Earth at Night in Color. Tom Hiddleston returns to narrate new nature documentaries.
The series premieres worldwide on Friday, February 23rd on Apple TV+. It was filmed over 1,000 days to present a new aspect of planet Earth that few outside of their local area have heard of — sounds of nature.

Apple's latest nature series takes viewers into different environments including the rainforests of Queensland in Australia, the Antarctic ice shelf, dunes in Namibia and tropical coral reefs.
Some of the unusual sounds the team captured include the mating calls of snow leopards, the quiet chatter of ostrich chicks in eggs, musical spiders and the love cries of walruses underwater. To balance the microcosm, the series explores the sounds of planet Earth itself with “the hum of the desert, drinking trees and the mysterious hum of the northern lights.”
The Sounds of the Earth was brought to life by creators Offspring Films under with Alex Williamson and Isla Robertson serving as executive producers. Sam Hodgson will produce the series, with Tom Payne directing.
The project marks the second partnership between Offspring Films and Apple TV+, following the BAFTA-nominated series Color at Night, which also featured Hiddleston.
