Apple now sells refurbished MacBook Pro M3 Pro and M3 Max models

Apple today began offering upgraded versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M3 Pro and M3 Max chip options, offering the machines at a discount for the first time since their release in October 2023.


The release of the M3 Pro and M3 Max models in the updated Apple store will take place almost two weeks after the first time in the store The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro M3 has arrived.

Prices for these latest refurbished MacBook Pro models start at $1,699 for the 14-inch M3 Pro 11-core and 14-core models. Core GPU – $300 off the original starting price of $1,999. The 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,119 for the M3 Pro with 12-core CPU and 18-core GPU, a savings of $380 compared to a brand new device that costs $2,499.

Additional configurations with Chip, memory and/or storage upgrades are also available, although availability will vary over time. Customers looking for a specific configuration should check back often.

All refurbished Apple Macs are virtually identical to new products. They are subject to a refurbishment process that includes a full functionality test with replacement of all defective modules, as well as thorough cleaning and inspection. Refurbished products are eligible for AppleCare+ and have the same 14-day return period as new Apple devices.
