Apple TV+ managed to win another award at the 76th Directors Guild of America Awards Awards: “Chemistry Lessons” won in its category, and one of the advertising campaigns also received approval.

The 2023 Outstanding Director Awards were presented Saturday night at the 76th Annual DGA Awards. Hosted by Judd Apatow and held at the Beverley Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Apple managed to walk away from the event with a pair of wins.

In a significant event for Apple TV+, Sarah Adina Smith's “Her and Him” ​​episode of Chemistry Lesson won for Outstanding Directing for a Television Movie or Limited Series.

In this category, Smith competed against Tara Miele and Millicent Shelton, who also appeared in episodes of Chemistry Lessons, Introduction to Chemistry and Poirot. Nzinga Stewart was also in the running to star in Daisy Jones and the Six alongside Shawn Levy in All the Light We Can't See.

This award was not the only one related to Apple. For Outstanding Achievement in Advertising Directing, Somuch's Kim Gehrig received the award for the Apple Music commercial “Run This Town.”

Other Apple TV+ shows were nominated but failed wins, including Declan Lowney and Erica Dunton for Ted Lasso and Martin Scorsese for Killers of the Flower Moon.
