Jon Stewart is set to return to Comedy Central's The Daily Show eight years after he stepped down and handed the reins to Trever Noah. Stewart plans to host the series every Monday, starting February 12, with regular correspondents rotating on the remaining days.
Apple originally signed Stewart to a multi-year deal in 2020, and the series ran for two seasons. Stewart explored “issues” in the current events series, and episodes ranged from news in the national conversation to issues that were part of Stewart's advocacy work.Friends. Stewart will host the series through the 2024 election cycle. In a statement, the Paramount Media Networks CEO said Stewart is “the voice of our generation” and that he will help “make sense of the madness and divisions engulfing the country heading into election season.”
