Zoom Shows Off Exciting New Vision Pro App with Personas, 3D Object Sharing and More

Following the launch of Vision Pro just a few days later, popular video collaboration service Zoom has announced Vision Pro, set to launch on Friday, February 2nd. The Zoom app for Vision Pro is designed to blur images. in-person and remote meeting lines to help teams feel more connected.


The Zoom app will run on Vision Pro's “infinity canvas” with a scalable interface that can be viewed in the real world or against a virtual background. The app supports personas, which are a spatial representation of the user in Vision Pro.

A persona is created using Vision Pro cameras and serves as a stand-in for the user during the video. calls. The characters look like the user and can gesture, speak, and react based on the Vision Pro user's facial and hand movements.

Later in the spring, support for sharing 3D files will be added to the Zoom app, with files able to “come to life” on Vision Pro. Integration with team chat is also expected, and users will eventually be able to pin up to five Zoom participants anywhere in their physical space.
