YouTube Music error shows black screen on iPhone

Some YouTube Music for iOS users are experiencing a bug today that causes the app to open on a black screen in some Google accounts without the ability to play songs.

Those affected by this black screen error only see the app bar with the YouTube Music logo, search and profile avatar, as well as the bottom band. (Note that the navigation item only shows Home, Browse, and Library when the Swatches tab is loaded after the fact.)

There is no option to preview or playback before this issue occurs. earlier today.

Users were able to switch accounts and listen to ads, but their YouTube Premium subscription and library were only available on the affected account.

For now, reporting is limited to the iOS client, but the Android app is working fine today.

Does anyone know that I just get a blank screen?

This is believed to be a server-side issue with the latest app update coming out this weekend (version 6.48.3). Uninstalling and reinstalling YouTube Music does not solve the problem. Many people are experiencing this issue, but not all; the devices we tested work fine.

Speaking of the iPhone app, some users are reporting problems replacing the Next and Previous buttons with the 30-second rewind forward and 10. -second rewind, which is useful for podcasts, but not for songs.

This shows up in CarPlay and the Now Playing system controls on the lock screen. We have not encountered this issue on our devices.
